                                                                    PCM Tooling (UK) Ltd, announce that Heimatec have recently introduced a new and innovative live tool  

                                                                                     system ‘U-tec’ which incorporates the use of standard ER collets but can also use Quick Change adaptors        

                                                                                     in the same tool.  Unlike other systems which are dedicated to use either standard collets or quick change        

                                                                                     adaptors, Heimatec’s ‘U-tec’ has been developed to allow both systems to be used within the same toolholder.  

                The system has many benefits and advantages : 

·          Extremely high power transmission by polygonal drive 

·          Use of ‘U-tec’ with collet nuts, with internal and external threads 

·          Enormous saving potential for tooling, because with all standard Heimatec  

                   holders standard collets or ‘U-tec’  adapters can be used
