New High Torque – Low Run Out Toolholding System for Cutting Tools

 

  

                                PCM Tooling ( UK ) Ltd, as UK agents for Rego-fix AG, Switzerland, are pleased to announce a new 

                                toolholding system designed and produced by Rego-fix, to provide high torque clamping of cutting

                                tools coupled with high concentricity / low run out accuracies to meet the ever increasing demand

                                for increased speeds and feeds in the production of components for the aerospace, automotive,

                                Formula 1 and other contemporary high tech industries, with a requirement for top quality tool

                                and cutter holding facilities.

                                                                                                                                                                          

 

The system with the registered name  “powRgrip” offers advantages over

conventional Collet chucks and heat shrink cutting toolholder systems, and

gives the following features and benefits to users :

Higher transmittable torque coupled with superior  runout/concentricity

Runout of 0.003 mm 

Tool change in less than 30 seconds 

Room Temperature operation –no heat involved so

   no delay for ‘cool down ‘, tool is  immediately available

  for use on the machine tool.

Easy to balance where high speed spindles are in use –

   just fit the balancing rings offered as optional

   extras (PCM can also supply a balancing machine if required) 

Works with ‘Through Coolant ‘ cutting tools.
