                                      New Precision Toolholders for Star Turret Turning Centres

                                      offer significant benefits for users of Colchester, Hardinge, Mori-Seiki,

                                      Victor,and other machines fitted with VDI Star Turrets

                                    PCM Tooling (UK) Ltd, are pleased to announce that they have introduced a new range

                                    of precision toolholders to fit a wide range of machines fitted with Star (peripheral mounted)

                                    tool turrets, such as Colchester, Hardinge, Mori-Seiki, Victor, and other machine

                                    manufacturers.  The range from the world renowned Zurn & Co toolholder manufacturer

                                     includes tools to fit VDI25, VDI30, and VDI40 turrets. 

                                    The tools include:

                                    A combi toolholder, which will hold boring tools, “U” drills, collet chucks, reduction

                                    bushes and other tools. 

                                    The combi toolholders offer the following productivity benefits:

                                    Through tool coolant capability – switchable to front or rear spindles via built-in valve

                                    Matching cylindrical shank collet chucks and reduction sleeves are readily available

                                    Toolholding capacity is 32mm diameter

                                    The ability to hold a range of tools reduces the number of toolholders required for cutting

                                    applications.

A range of parting-off toolholders which hold standard 26 or 32mm parting-off blades: there are two distinct types

of parting-off toolholders, of which one type can be for left-hand or right-hand tool application.
