The ZURN Flexible Tooling System

With the ever-increasing demands on tool holders for CNC Turning Centres PCM now offer a

Flexible   Tooling System from Zurn, to allow the use of more cutting tools on machines with peripheral

tool turrets, sub spindles and twin turrets.

The Zurn FTS consists of a range of base tool holders in VDI 25,30 and 40 formats that can be adapted to use

a variety of interchangeable tool holders; Double Ended ER collet chucks, U-Drill or boring bars, collet chucks

with whistle notch/boring bar holders and many other combinations.

The main advantage of the Zurn FTS is to allow cutting tools to be used on the main spindle and a

sub spindle in the same turret station and so increasing the number of tools available. All the base

units have internal and external coolant supply up to 100bar pressure.

Each base tool holder, if required, can be converted to be a dedicated left or right handed unit by utilising the

blanking plate included.

Standard turning tools are available with double serration VDI shanks eliminating the need for

separate left and right hand tool holders

.

Parting off tool holders are available in a variety of formats: double VDI serrations, standard and inverted,

left and right hand, 26and 32 mm blade width’s.
